I lost the book I was reading, Girl Who Played With Fire. To bad, now ill just have to read the Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest..the first page of the book brings up the controversial topic of the civil war. "600 women served during the American Civil War." i thought that was a very beautiful opening to this book. when the women were undercover fighting for their own rights it was very uplifting to the women who chose this life. its like they chose to have the risk in their life, instead of being stuck home doing the same thing everyday, they got to get involved in something that was going to affect them whether they did something or not. this is a very good comparison to slander, she kind of puts her self in men;s positions and is always prepared to fight. i feel slander is the type of person who would have put herself undercover to go into the war.
